PERSPECTIVE

Founder = Mind Athlete 🧠đŸ’Ș

A younger founder once asked me:
“Serhat, how many hours do you work in a week?”

I had to pause, because I’ve never counted.
In start-ups, work and life don’t really split apart. And if you separate them, I don’t think you’re a real founder.

☀ Daytime is for building,
🌙 Night is for dreaming about what’s next.

If this was just a job with a salary, separating work and personal life would make sense.
But for a founder, it’s much more than that.

That’s why “working a lot” doesn’t feel like the right measure. It’s about how deeply you live in it.

Graphic of a small circle labelled “life” inside a larger circle labelled “purpose”, with the line “If you have purpose, you don’t need to separate life and work.”

⚡ Awareness is key. To avoid burnout, you have to build resilience with both physical and mental practices.

What I’m working on isn’t about months, days, or even hours
 it’s about optimizing minutes, like in 20-minute slots

Do you measure your hours, or just flow with it? đŸ€”
